The Best part-time jobs as an affiliate

I’ve been thinking about my future move from being a part-time ‘hobby’ affiliate, to a part-time ‘professional’ affiliate- what i mean by this is at the moment, my affiliate commissions only trickle in and really don’t make me enough to sustain my lifestyle, at this point affiliate marketing for me is still very much a hobby, something to learn the ropes on. But as any affiliate will tell you, the hard part is finding the time to do everything, what if i was earning enough that i could get a reasonable income but not enough to truely throw in the towel as a full time professional affiliate? See, one of the problems in affiliate marketing is that it’s not always a predictable form of income, it’s pretty high risk as there’s no form of consistancy as far as income goes. For a full time affiliate this is less of an issue considering these large affiliates will be getting multiple sources of income from multiple affiliate programs. But for an affiliate like me with only a couple of hours a day free for affiliate marketing…what would be a ‘back up’. This got me thinking about what would be the ideal part-time jobs that would maximise my affiliate time whilst providing me with some degree of reliable income. You’ll have to bear in mind these aren’t glamorous jobs, just bread and butter jobs that have enough flexibility to allow you more time to do affiliate marketing-
1. Taxi Driver – when you’re waiting for a fare – perfect time to whip out the netbook and blog away, and since you pick the hours you work, its up to you how much time you spend driving versus blogging.
2. Postman – work in the morning, done by lunch, blog the afternoon and party through the night, life is tough.
3. Freelance affiliate program manager – why not, you know what you’re doing as an affiliate anyways, and this is a great way to learn more about the industry too!
4. Temp- Staff – who knows when you’ll get work, in the meantime, blog!
5. Laudromat staff – this struck me as the best, you own your own laundromat, all you do is give people change, the rest of the time you just sit there, blog and make sure the reds don’t get mixed in with the whites.
6. Student – a no brainer, especially for business student who are only in uni for 5 hours a week, if that.
7. Night Security guard/ bouncer – what do you do during the day? might as well blog! as for the night guard, even better, after all you’ve only got a mini TV and a copy of The Sun to keep you company.
8. Bin Man – like the postman – what are you going to do the rest of the day, other than blog?
9. Scuba Diving Instructor – this acutally applies to lots of other jobs, basically because of pressure, you can dive too regularly through the day, so thats alot of sitting around…during which time you can blog!
10. University Lecturer – academics have it easy, so its a no brainer that they have time to blog and do affiliate marketing…like uni students, they only need to be in a fraction of the timeĀ the rest of us in the real world do.
